Employee analytics startup Culture Amp raises $10m, opens London office to boost European presence

Culture Amp, which develops analytics tools for employers, is to open a new London office and spur its growth in Europe following a $10 million Series B round.

The funding round was led by Index Ventures along with Felicis Ventures and Blackbird Ventures. Index partner Ilya Fushman will join the Australian company’s board and the London office is expected to open this month. The office will employ six in customer success, sales, and community roles. The company also has offices in Melbourne, New York, and San Francisco.

Culture Amp creates staff surveys and analytics for companies to measure employee engagement. The startup counts Airbnb and Etsy among its client base as well as UK companies like WorldRemit.

“Companies don’t just need more data - they need the right data, and we are building the industry's leading platform for collecting and connecting relevant insights to understand what drives their people and culture,” said co-founder and CEO Didier Elzinga. “We’re excited to be on the ground in London, where we're already working with some great companies like Farfetch, MOO, Wagamama, AutoTrader, onefinestay, and WorldRemit.”

“A deep understanding of employee engagement is essential to building great global businesses and Culture Amp's products allow companies to keep their finger on the pulse of their organizations,” added Fushman.

Along with the news of its new office and funding, Culture Amp has published its latest survey, New Tech Benchmark Report 2016, which questioned 60,000 people on what makes them satisfied with their job.
