The first ever Mondial Innovation Forum, co-organised by Startup Sesame, takes place on October 5 at the Paris Motor Show, which will give us a glimpse into the future of cars and transportation.

Built with and for the entrepreneurial community, this new conference will facilitate business connections between startups and corporate executives, and accelerate a much needed transformation of the automobile industry.

Taking place at Porte de Versailles, the event will see more than 300 professionals from 15 countries converge, all from different backgrounds whether it’s startups, automotive, entertainment or politics. Companies like BMW, Renault, Valéo, Spotify, BlaBlaCar, Drivy and investment firms Accel, and Ventech and many others will be represented. Some 40 startups will be exhibiting throughout the day.

Meanwhile, the French Ministry of Economy and Finance support the initiative with Christophe Sirugue, State Secretary in charge of Industry, opening the conference, and Axelle Lemaire, State Secretary in charge of Digital and Innovation closing it.

The Mondial Innovation Forum will host the Startup Sesame Mobility contest, which will see eight startups compete for four spots on the Startup Sesame event accelerator. The eight finalists will pitch their winning innovation to an expert jury that includes investors, auto executives, and startup pros.

Startup Sesame recently announced the eight finalists, each tackling a problem in cars, public transit, smart cities or delivery: TICKEY (Bulgaria), Evercharge (US), Faraday Motion (Denmark), MyBoxMan (France) Predict.io (Germany), Pzartech (Israel), KARBE (Netherlands), and StartUp Cities (Spain).
