Paris-based ContentSquare, a web and mobile optimisation platform, has raised $20 million in a Series B round from Highland Europe.
The fresh round of funding will be used for ContentSquare’s global expansion as well as hiring new talent. The company has additional offices in London and New York and plans to open a new office in Germany next year.
ContentSquare’s AI-powered platform measures user behaviour online and on mobile, such as mouse movements, screen touches and interactions with segments of a page, to improve engagement, conversion rates, and help companies make more data-drive decisions.
ContentSquare’s revenue has grown 20-fold over the last four years, according to founder and CEO Jonathan Cherki. “This funding confirms the relevance and need for a platform like ContentSquare in the market.”
The user experience (UX) industry is tipped to be worth over $3.6 billion by 2018, according to ContentSquare while the company has been recognised by Gartner as an innovative ecommerce vendor.
“We’re impressed by the solutions ContentSquare provides its clients, and realise this company’s results-driven technology and impressive leadership team set a great example for what the future of the UX industry should look like,” added Tony Zappala, Highland Europe.
