UK fintech company Huddlestock has acquired the intellectual property of Norway’s Islero, an investment analysis platform.
Islero, based in Trondheim, is described as a Spotify for investment analysis, providing a subscription service for investors.
“We have built a marketplace where investment analysts can share their ideas, and get compensated for it, while users can easily track who are the top trending analysts at any time,” said CMO Marius Norheim. The startup previously participated in Norway’s Tech City Accelerator and Level39.
No terms for the deal were disclosed but Huddlestock, which also has a Norway presence, has acquired access to the users and vendors that use Islero, which launched the platform in January 2016.
“Both being Norwegian companies, we think this consolidation will support the growth and development of the Norwegian fintech ecosystem, and show that collaboration is key to be able to succeed in a myriad of start-ups”, said Huddlestock and Islero CEOs, Murshid M. Ali and Frede Fardal (pictured) in a joint statement.
