UK-based foodtech startup Vita Mojo has raised £3.28 million on the equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube, from 1,179 investors. The Elior Group, a global catering company, contributed £1 million to the campaign. The company's valuation has now reached £23.1 million.

Vita Mojo's software allows customers to design their own meals at restaurants using in-store iPads or the company's app or website. Customers can also input their height, weight, dietary requirements and fitness goals to receive customised nutrition advice.

“Personalisation is a win-win for the consumer and the restaurant," said co-founder Nick Popovici, as reported by Tech City News. "It increases customer satisfaction as everyone gets exactly what they want and keeps them coming back to try new combinations."

“The timing couldn’t be better as we’re tapping into a number of key trends: the rapid growth of the healthy food industry and millennials demanding more personalisation. The eating-out market is worth more than £70 billion a year just in the UK.”
