Dutch telco CM has acquired Docdata Payments from US company Ingram Micro for an undisclosed amount.
Docdata is a payments processor based in Utrecht that operates in several European countries but chiefly the Benelux countries. Docdata was acquired by Ingram Micro in December 2015, its 35 employees will now move over to CM.
The acquisition will bolster the operations of CM Payments, said Jeroen van Glabbeek, CEO of CM. The deal follows the company’s acquisition of two German text message service providers in May.
“Docdata Payments not only possesses a large and diverse client portfolio, the infrastructure is also very extensive with many languages and currencies,” he added. “On the other hand, CM can add many advantages, thanks to its own infrastructure, the online identification methods such as Digital Identity Service Provider, and its own network.”
Docdata will continue its partnerships with Ingram Micro companies in Europe, said managing director Stefan Verbaarschott, but “returning the company to Dutch shareholders, and having access to the associated resources is essential,” he explained.
