Dotmatics, a business intelligence software company, has announced that it has received an investment from Scottish Equity Partners, though no figures have been disclosed.
The UK-based company develops infomatics software for industries like pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, academia, and oil and gas. The new funding will be used for further product development and market expansion. It employs chemists, biologists, and software engineers in Europe, the US, and Asia.
“The funding will enable us to continue our aggressive trajectory in providing chemistry solutions, further expansion into biologics and increase our investment into customer support through strategic hires in application science product development and professional services,” said CEO Stephen Gallagher.
“Dotmatics is a fast growing and capital efficient SaaS business, with an excellent reputation in the scientific research informatics market,” added Keith Davidson, partner at Scottish Equity Partners. “The company has a strong focus on innovation and providing customers with first class scientific solutions and support.”
