Estonian-founded cybersecurity training startup RangeForce raises $1.5 million

Tallinn and New York-based cybersecurity startup RangeForce has secured $1.5 million in a funding round led by Paladin Capital Group with participation from Trind Ventures. Gibb Witham from Paladin Capital Group will join the board of directors.

RangeForce has created a learning platform that simulates cyber attack scenarios to teach and assess the skills of security professionals. The startup says that it has already attracted customers across the financial, technology and healthcare sectors, including Microsoft, Barclays, Santander, and Pipedrive.

“One-size-fits-all classroom training models are obsolete, because they don’t provide actionable skills required to hold threats at bay,” said Taavi Must, CEO and co-founder of RangeForce. “Our problem-based learning approach provides enterprise IT and cybersecurity teams with tangible defensive cyber warfare experience.”
