Chinese-born Swedish entrepreneur Carl Pei is on his next trick, after co-founding smartphone giant OnePlus in 2013 and leaving the company just two months ago.
Now based in London, Pei has raised $7 million in a seed financing round for his new venture, which will be unveiled in the next few months.
Notably, the round includes an impressive list of angel investors, including iPod inventor Tony Fadell, YouTube star Casey Neistat, Web Summit's Paddy Cosgrave, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman, Product Hunt chief Josh Buckley, Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin and Liam Casey, founder and CEO of PCH.
No word on what he's up to next, but Pei says he's "deeply grateful and tremendously excited to have friends of this caliber supporting us in building what’s next", and that his team in London plans on "moving aggressively against our vision".
