European startups are well advised to apply to join PODIM - before the 15 March deadline which is fast approaching!
PODIM is one of the leading startup events in Europe, particularly for the CEE region, and is (usually) held in Maribor, Slovenia. This year's dates are 17 to 19 May.
This year, of course, most of the action will be online, even if it's officially a hybrid event. It's also a relatively exclusive event, as PODIM wants to limit the number of attendees to 1,000, and the number of selected startups to 150, to put the emphasis on quality networking and meaningful meetings.
More than 400 startups have already applied, the conference organiser says, but there's another few days for startup founders to throw their virtual hats into the ring.
What's in it for the chosen ones? Exposure to more than 100 investors, business experts as well as potential partners and customers, and plenty of opportunities for one-on-one meetings with decision makers.
Some of the funds that have confirmed their participation in PODIM 2021 include Speedinvest, Launchub Ventures (which we recently profiled on tech.eu), Fil Rouge Capital, 500 Startups Istanbul, South Central Ventures, Silicon Gardens Fund and 3TS Capital Partners.
The first confirmed speakers for the event include five-time entrepreneur, MIT lecturer, innovation leader and 'super angel investor' David Rose, Accenture and ex-Salesforce exec Ali Shubber, 500 Startups Istanbul and Peak Games co-founder Rina Onur Sirinoglu, and Speedinvest co-founder and partner Michael Schuster.
More speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Worth repeating: startups can apply for the PODIM startup track until 15 March.
