Founded in 2000 as a spin-off from universities Louvain-La-Neuve and Liège, data analytics, machine learning, and AI firm N-SIDE has raised €10 million in a new funding round.
The round saw many of the original investors including Gaëtan Hannecart from Matexi, François le Hodey from IPM, Jacques van Rijkervorsel and Jean Stéphenne, as well as participation from N-SIDE co-founder and president Philippe Chevalier.
The funding is expected to accelerate product developments as well as propel further international expansion plans.
According to N-SIDE they’ve grown steadily in recent years, by approximately 40%, and 2021 will see the company approach a turnover of €20 million.
"Thanks to this capital increase, N-SIDE will be able to continue its rapid development to provide innovative solutions to the major challenges of managing energy networks to face the energy transition and the optimization of clinical trials for the development of new medical treatments," comments Chevalier.
