The Paris-based media platform Newsbridge has raised €4 million and recently brought clients the TF1 Group and the French Federation of Football on board, and signed on with Asharq News that has an exclusive content agreement with Bloomberg Media.
The latest round of funding was led by Elaia Partners and saw the participation of the seemingly omnipresent BPIFrance, and individual investor Dominique Edelin, a Newsbridge board member since September of last year.
The investment is expected to fuel Newsbridge’s deep tech R&D and scale its international expansion efforts.
Co-founded in 2016 by Frédéric and Philippe Petitpont, Newsbridge uses artificial intelligence, namely computer vision and deep learning, alongside cognitive tech to help media and sports rights-holders to auto-index, manage, and monetise large amounts of audiovisual content.
“This past year, the pandemic induced rapid acceleration in digital transformation across the board. During this unprecedented time, Newsbridge’s solution and technology proved more relevant than ever. Within a short time period, the company achieved its product-market fit and successfully expanded its client portfolio,” comments Anne-Sophie Carrese of Elaia.
