Having previously claimed operating rights in the Swedish cities of Gothenburg, Linköping, and Norrköping, and Denmark’s Frederiksberg, Bolt now adds another Scandinavian win to the trophy board in Oslo, Norway.

Having successfully demonstrated operations in Oslo for the past two years, highlighted by a cognitive recognition test aimed at preventing intoxicated riding, Bolt now gains the official green light to charge full steam ahead with its scooter operations in the Norwegian capital.

Allowed to place 2,667 scooters on the streets of Oslo for an additional 12 months, Bolt plans to operate its newest model, the long-range 55 km, 100% aluminum, Bolt 5 scooter. A similar agreement was reached with Voi and TIER.

“We are grateful to the city of Oslo for the ongoing trust shown in Bolt, and we look forward to continuing our work together to shape sustainable micromobility habits in the years to come,” commented Bolt’s Dmtri Pivovarov. “At Bolt we’re committed to being a reliable partner who cities can work with to help make the urban areas more people-friendly by offering alternatives to driving a private car, leading to better air quality and less congestion.”
