Polish startup Hintech rakes in new funding to monitor podcast market

The podcast market is experiencing rapid growth right now. There are currently approximately 2 million podcast accounts worldwide, with approximately 48 million episodes broadcasted. And yet, there is a lack of accurate subject categorisation for podcasts, as well as numerical data on the number of plays, downloads, opinions, or comments.

Betting big on the segment, Polish startup Hintech has raised €2,08,990 to develop a tool for comprehensive podcast analysis from SpeedUp Bridge Alfa fund, which is part of the SpeedUp Group.

Founded by Wojciech Gilewski and Radosław Baczyński, the company’s technology allows users to continuously monitor the recordings made available on the Internet, informing the user of the occurrence of the specified keyword.

This media segment’s potential is constantly growing. We’ve conducted dozens of interviews with podcast advertising market participants which has revealed that there is no reliable source of information about podcasts on the market. There is a lack of accurate subject categorisation for podcasts, as well as numerical data on the number of plays, downloads, opinions, or comments,” Wojciech Gilewski, co-founder and CEO of Hintech said.

Hintech intends to use the funds raised to advance its technology. In the coming months, the team will expand the platform’s functionality by adding the ability to aggregate additional data, such as audience demographics, information about previously implemented marketing campaigns by the creators, and an expanded search engine.
