UK-based climate tech start-up Revalue Nature is taking a different approach to carbon projects – it is proving the tools to project developers to look at projects ‘from the ground up’ via its platform and its pipeline of global project financiers. The climate currently has connections in eight countries over three continents.
“Revalue exists to deliver a fundamental step-change in integrity at scale. This drives us every day,” says Stuart Rowland, founder and CEO of Revalue Nature.
The company has raised a $10 million Series A funding round which was co-led by Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF) and SJF Ventures - two US-based venture capital firms focused on climate and impact. The fresh funding will allow Revalue Nature to ‘grow partnerships and a global pipeline of next-generation projects’ as well as expand the capabilities of its platform.
“For 15 years, EIF has been looking for a company that is focused on bringing integrity to the nature-based carbon market, to address the market’s problems and help realise its great potential. We believe Revalue Nature is that company, bringing together experience in carbon project development, expertise in forest science, excellence in process management, and strong values. We are delighted to have the opportunity to be involved,” says James Everett, Managing Partner of Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF).
