European tech weekly recap: €1B in deals and February's highlights

Last week, we tracked more than 60 tech funding deals worth over €1 billion, and over 15 exits, M&A transactions, rumours, and related news stories across Europe.

📊 In February, deal activity reached 296 transactions, up 11.7 per cent from January’s 265, indicating steady growth. Total capital raised rose more sharply to €7.8 billion, a 56 per cent increase from €5 billion in January, pointing to larger average round sizes. Funding was heavily concentrated geographically, with the UK 🇬🇧 raising €3.8 billion, about 48.7 per cent of February’s total. By sector, transportation 🚗 led with €1.5 billion, representing 19.2 per cent of total February funding.
