NexGen Cloud, a leading UK-based company specializing in AI infrastructure, has closed a $45 million funding round.
The round was primarily backed by high-net-worth individuals and family trusts.
The funding will support the company’s efforts to expand its hyperscale infrastructure globally, with a particular focus on establishing sovereign AI capabilities in Europe. Hyperstack offers both AI compute capacity for large enterprises and an AI-as-a-Service Cloud solution that provides on-demand computing. C
Currently, the platform manages thousands of GPUs to provide compute to notable organisations such as Red Hat, Ingenix.AI, Tyne, and ArchiLabs.
NexGen Cloud has also established itself as an early leader in GPU cloud computing, developed its own API to enable channel partners to offer enterprise-grade AI compute through Hyperstack. These collaborations have allowed the company to play a crucial role in several sectors, from software development to clinical trials and AI-assisted design in architecture, engineering, and construction.
Ed Goode, CEO of Shadeform, spoke about the company's partnership with NexGen Cloud: “NexGen has been an incredibly reliable partner as we’ve scaled our cloud marketplace. Their consistently dependable servers across all categories of GPU workloads — paired with top-tier support and performance — have been first class. We’re proud to be growing alongside their team and expanding fleet.”
The newly raised Series A funds will be allocated toward scaling NexGen Cloud’s infrastructure in response to increased platform utilization rates and the growing demand for AI capabilities in Europe. The company also plans to expand its Full Stack Cloud capabilities to support production-ready AI applications for enterprises.
Brian Bakerman, CEO & Co-Founder of ArchiLabs, added: “I have tried a number of different GPU-accelerated cloud providers and Hyperstack has by far the best support and pricing on the market.”
Chris Starkey, CEO and co-founder of NexGen Cloud, expressed excitement about the future:
“We are thrilled to have the backing of our esteemed investors who share our vision for a robust and sovereign AI infrastructure in Europe. This Series A funding is a pivotal step towards realizing our goal of becoming the backbone for AI-powered solutions across the continent.”
