Endra secures €3M to transform outdated mechanical, engineering, and plumbing market

AI-powered vertical SaaS startup Endra has raised €3 million in  Pre-Seed funding.

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems play a central role in the sustainability and functionality of buildings, mainly by enabling efficient and green energy solutions addressing the significant energy emissions from buildings of nearly 30 per cent of global emissions.

Yet the $79 billion MEP market remains one of the most outdated and manual processes in construction. In parallel with rising pressure to meet green building standards, comply with strict energy regulations, and integrate smart tech from day one, the industry is also facing a critical shortage of skilled engineers.

Endra’s platform is an AI-powered, end-to-end infrastructure for MEP design. It automates time-intensive tasks such as documentation, system layout, and code compliance. In pilot projects, the platform delivered over 70x speed improvements, reducing design work that typically takes months to just a few hours.

Engineers retain full control over final checks, while Endra handles the time intensive workstreams.

By integrating seamlessly with existing industry tools, Endra empowers both consultants and design-build firms to reduce costs, eliminate inefficiencies, and make greener choices without compromising on performance.

Despite being founded in October 2024, the company has attracted huge interest from multi-national MEP firms, resulting in multiple LOI:s with some of the largest enterprise consultants in Europe.

Endra was founded by a team with deep domain and technical expertise. Niklas Lindgren and Anton Juric are serial entrepreneurs who previously built a company focused on technical security solutions. It was through that work they encountered the inefficiencies of MEP design first-hand, which ultimately led them to launch Endra.

Their previous company Sectragon  was acquired by a publicly listed private equity firm.

They are joined by technical co-founders Gustav Hammarlund and David Rydberg, leveraging their experience in building core infrastructure for Goldman Sachs’ equity trading platforms across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Niklas Lindgren, co-founder and CEO of Endra AI shared:

“In the Endra ecosystem, general contractors and MEP consultants will be able to interface each other seamlessly — in a way never experienced before.

Given the interest we have had our first 8 months, Endra is really being set up for solid hyper growth.

Norrsken V led the round, which was joined by prominent industry angels, including:

  • Maximilian Viessmann via Vito One — CEO of the German powerhouse Viessmann Group,
  • Johan Edenström via Pejoni Ventures — owner and operator of Newsec and Stronghold, managing 64 million m² of real estate across Northern Europe —
  • Simon De Château, founder of real estate fund Alma Property Partners.

Angel investors Oscar, Tom and Edward Höglund,  co-founders of Epidemic Sound,  also joined the round, as well as Oljibe Invest.

According to Alexander Danielsson, Partner at Norrsken VC:

“This is one of those rare cases where everything lines up: serial entrepreneurs with extensive knowledge of the industry, coupled with deep tech expertise that can stir up a bi,g underdeveloped market.

The MEP design process is overdue for AI-driven change. With up to 80 per cent of the work being repetitive and ripe for automation, Endra offers a clear path to faster, smarter, and more sustainable construction, with a business model where everyone wins.”

The funding will accelerate product development, expand the team, and lay the foundation for international growth as the company targets expansion into the US, UK, and German markets over the next two years.
