Fateless, developer of the upcoming RPG Godforge, has completed a second funding round, raising an additional $8 million. This brings its total committed funding to $14 million.
Founded in 2023, Fateless is a community-first game studio creating games in close collaboration with its players. Evolving from content creation and guild leadership, the team is committed to delivering engaging, player-driven experiences.
With a focus on player agency, immersive storytelling, and fair monetisation, Fateless is building a studio where players aren’t just participants, they help shape the games themselves.
Drawing on their combined experience in RPGs and hero collection games, Fateless was founded by Simon “HellHades” Lockerby (former content creator and Co-Founder of HH Gaming), Dan “Phixion” Francis (Co-Founder of HH Gaming), and Hisham “Sham” Saleh (CEO of Skeleton Hand) with a shared vision of creating a community-led studio focused on delivering high-quality gaming experiences.
Driven largely by its active HH Gaming and HellHades communities, the developer’s flagship title, Godforge, has entered its Alpha phase with a custom gameplay mode called “Caverns of Chaos” to test core systems and retention.
This cross-platform RPG is set in a richly imagined universe where players harness the powers of famous Gods, Myths, and Legends from diverse factions.
Simon Lockerby, Co-founder and CEO of Fateless, said:
With an already engaged and proven audience of over 2 million players across our YouTube channels, website, Discord and social media, we’re excited and confident that Godforge will help evolve the hero collector genre for the next generation of players.
More importantly, the community has already expressed great belief in the game by helping us raise funds of $6 million during our initial startup phase and was a major contributor to our latest round.
Featuring strategic depth, cinematic visuals, and a strong focus on community feedback, Godforge aims to redefine the hero collector genre and is scheduled for a full worldwide launch in Q1 2026.
