Five startups and scaleups were recognised today by the Digital Top 50 Awards at the Slush conference in Helsinki.
The awards, given by Google, McKinsey & Company, and Rocket Internet, recognise innovative European companies in the categories of B2B, B2C, and tech for social impact. This year’s winners, chosen by jurors from business, media, and academia, were:
B2B Startup: The UK’s Everledger, a blockchain-based solution for tackling fraud.
B2B Scaleup: Germany’s Seerene, a software analytics tool for IT companies.
B2C Startup: The UK’s Hey Habito, an AI-powered tool to help people with finding a mortgage.
B2C Scaleup: Germany’s Bragi, smart wireless earbuds that record biometric data.
Tech for Social Impact: The UK’s Peek Vision Foundation, which has developed a portable eye testing and diagnostics kit for using in developing regions.
The B2B and B2B startups and Tech for Social Impact each took home €50,000. All of the winners have also been invited to Google’s I/O event next year as well as receiving consulting from McKinsey and management feedback from Rocket Internet_._
