Venture capital firm Nauta Capital has closed its latest fund at $170 million to invest in tech companies at Series A rounds. This brings its total assets under management to $350 million.
The London-based firm, with offices in Barcelona and Boston, has invested in eight companies so far through this third fund including Spain’s Lodgify and the UK’s CloudIQ. Nauta intends to invest in around 25 companies through the fund.
Some of the firm’s other investments include Scytl, Brandwatch, and Social Point (which recently exited).
“Our passion is backing great entrepreneurs that share our desire to produce world-leading capital efficient software companies and become global disruptors,” said Carles Ferrer, general partner at Nauta’s London office. “We have built a very solid and granular presence in each of our three locations. Having a fully dedicated investment team at each location allows us to access privileged dealflow, and have quite a unique pan-European approach.”
