Newsflare, a UK-based online video marketplace, has raised £2.4 million from Edge Investments.
Newsflare is a digital platform that allows users to submit, search, share, view, buy and sell geo-tagged video news content uploaded by other platform users. Newsflare is a marketplace where professional and amateur video-journalists alike, as well as media schools, major news networks and the public, can exchange video coverage of events that don't make it on traditional news networks.
With the funds, co-founder and CEO Jon Cornwell says the company intends to continue expanding operations and growing its client base.
