Paris-based customer service outsourcer Onepilot raises €2.5 million in seed round

Customer service outfit Onepilot has raised €2.5 million in seed funding in a move to rapidly accelerate growth and prepare for international expansion.

The found includes notable investors including Global Founders Capital (the investment fund founded by Oliver Samwer of Rocket Internet) and Kima Ventures (French billionaire Xavier Niel’s fund), as well as angel investors Thomas Rebaud (Founder & CEO of Meero), Roxanne Varza (Director of Station F), Fredrik Hjelm (Founder & CEO of Voi) and Baptiste Corval (Founder of Phenix).

"This is a killer team that moves super fast, and there is a huge opportunity in the space they’re operating in," comments Varza.

The 5 cofounders are comprised of ex Foodora, Cowash, Voi, Starquest Capital, and Bolt employees, and have capitalised on the need for both large corporates and SME’s to have strong customer satisfaction and the importance of a qualitative customer support outsourcing solution.

Onepilot is striving to provide a fast, human response to customer support at all times, 24/7. According to the startup, their technology allows agents to handle even the most complex of issues in a matter of minutes, increase a company’s sales by up to 20%, and halve their average response time.

“Thanks to our technology and operational structure, Onepilot is reinventing outsourced customer care by empowering freelancers from all over France to solve the most complex problems in record time," says Onepilot COO Lucas Bornert.

The private beta of Onepilot went live just a few weeks ago, and in this time the company has garnered more than 40 clients including Respire, Blissim and Les Raffineurs. Onepilot intends to scale rapidly with 30+ employee hires and hundreds of freelancers over the coming weeks.
