Tuenti adds free voice calling feature to its iOS app

Spanish tech company Tuenti, whose mobile communication apps are used by up to 6 million people, has updated its iOS app to include a free voice-over-IP (VoIP) calling feature.

Tuenti's iOS VoIP service is compatible with Android, Chrome and Opera.

Difficult not to see the move in light of the impending addition of free voice calling to WhatsApp, the messaging app that is rivalling Tuenti big time in Spain, although we should note that Tuenti integrated the functionality in its Android app back in June 2013 already.

As we have explained in the last few months, our strategy as a company is focused on providing customers with the best experience in the area of mobile social communication. We are the first native digital mobile operator, which makes it possible to use our services anywhere and with any device. Our commitment to innovation is becoming increasingly radical on a daily basis.
