TWINO launches new lending service TWINO Ventures to help diversify users' portfolios

Latvian P2P lending platform TWINO is launching a new investment opportunity for its users in the form of TWINO Ventures, a collection of secured loans to new markets that can diversify investors’ portfolios. In a press release, the company cites “rapidly growing interest for new high-yield investment opportunities across different asset classes” as the reason for the new service. So, TWINO Ventures will curate secured loans with an annual return of up to 12 percent, lending to vetted businesses and real estate development projects. When the projects are finalised and sold, investors get paid. TWINO plans to invest more than €30 million through TWINO Ventures in 2020 and to triple this amount by 2022. For now real estate is the only investment opportunity on the platform; other areas may be added over time.

It isn’t just TWINO users who want to diversify; the company itself does, too. Recently, the Riga-based business launched operations in Vietnam under the brand name VAMO, with hopes of further growth in Southeast Asia in 2020.
