Paris-based foodtech startup Feed, a developer and online seller of smart food, has raised €3 million. The investment comes from existing investor Senseii Ventures, as well as the French fund Otium, Kima Ventures, and several business angels, including Hubert Patricot and Guillaume Gibault.

Founded by Anthony Bourbon in 2016, Feed produces complete, balanced, "nutritionally perfect" meals, that are packaged into small, easily consumable forms such as drinks and bars. The meals are are designed and prepared by chefs, nutritionists, and agri-food engineers.

"Our aim is not to replace traditional food, but rather to provide a fast, practical and healthy alternative for people who do not have the time to prepare a 'classic' meal," said Bourbon, as reported by Maddyness.

With the new funding, the startup plans to hire around 20 new employees in the coming months to accelerate its development in Europe. Feed also plans to further invest in its R&D in order to launch new products in the near future, and to create new vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, GM-free and nut-free products.
