UiPath raises $30 million for its robotic automation process software

UiPath, a Romanian-founded automation software firm, has announced a $30 million Series A round led by Accel.

Earlybird Venture Capital, Credo Ventures, and Seedcamp also participated in the round.

UiPath, which is now based in the US, is a robotic process automation (RPA) software company and develops intelligent software robots; Lufthansa and Telenor are among its customers. The new funds will be invested in the company’s global expansion strategy as well as product development and AI capabilities.

“This investment will allow us to introduce the benefits of intelligent RPA to even more businesses around the world and remain at the forefront of a rapidly-advancing industry,” said UiPath CEO Daniel Dines (pictured).

“Daniel’s clear and ambitious vision for the company has helped drive impressive traction in a short period of time,” added Accel partner Luciana Lixandru. “Many enterprises around the world are recognizing how its RPA software can make their business smarter, and yet UiPath has only scratched the surface.”
