The Tech Tour Growth Forum 2016 will take place in Geneva and Lausanne, Switzerland on March 17 and 18, in the vicinity of Lake Geneva, bringing together decision makers, investors, and entrepreneurs in European tech.

The two-day event, in association with its partners Pictet, Orrick, H. Moser & Cie, Bank of America, Euronext, and Canton Vaud, is Tech Tour’s flagship event where delegates converge to meet and explore the future of the industry and the business opportunities ahead.

On Thursday March 17, the Growth Forum will commence with closed sessions for CEOs and investors on industries like digital health, SaaS, and big data. This includes CEO workshops hosted by Pictet and McKinsey.

This will be followed by the Tech Tour gala dinner where the tenth Growth Forum Awards at Beau Rivage will be presented to the winner. Last year’s winner was Scotland’s Skyscanner, which reached a $1.6 billion valuation last month. Past winners include Betfair and MySQL. Since then several of those companies have gone from strength to strength.

The event will also announce this year’s Growth 50 companies, which are Europe’s fastest growing pre-exit startups. The Growth 50 was launched last year and included BlaBlaCar, Scytl, SoundCloud, and Spotify.

The next day, Friday March 18, will be headlined by a keynote speech from Samsung president and chief strategy officer, Young Sohn.

The day will feature talks and panel discussions with speakers such as Paul Harvey, head of technology investment banking for Europe at Bank of America Merrill Lynch; Didem Un Ates, global partnerships director of global alliances as Microsoft UK; and Peter Weed, general manager of growth tech practice at McKinsey.

Friday’s agenda will also see scale-up panel discussions on business and growth. Some of the speakers for these panels include representatives from companies like Swiftkey, which was recently acquired by Microsoft, SIGFOX Wireless, and cybersecurity firm AlienVault.

“Amongst all the tech events in Europe, the Tech Tour Growth Forum is my favourite: Decision-makers talking business” said Bernard Lukey, general director of Yandex, which will be in attendance.
