Now that Deezer, HelloFresh and others have shelved their listings, what next for European tech IPOs?

European tech IPOs have always been few and far between, but lately there's also been a trend of major players announcing, then postponing listings. What gives?

One of the many problems with the European technology scene has historically been a lack of exits. Things are getting better, as we highlighted in a recent in-depth report on the topic, but huge challenges remain.

For one, it's undeniable that there are very few European tech initial public offerings (only 4.75% of the exits we tracked in 2014 were IPOs), and it doesn't look like things are getting better fast.

One trend: we've lately seen some European tech companies announce IPOs, only to cancel / postpone them soon after (Deezer, HelloFresh, Oberthur Technologies etc.).
