Barcelona-based vacation SaaS startup Lodgify raises €1.4 million from Nauta Capital

Vacation rental software company Lodgify has raised €1.4 million in a fresh round of funding led by Nauta Capital with participation from HOWZAT Partners, angel investor Chris Hitchen, and Travel.ch founder Roland Zeller.

The Barcelona-based SaaS startup builds software for vacation business to create their own self-service websites for managing and processing reservations and payments. The new funds will be used for further product development and sales and marketing.

According to co-founder Dennis Klett, Lodgify’s model helps businesses like hotels secure more direct bookings from guests rather than paying out commissions to online travel agencies and booking websites.

The startup said in a statement that Europe and the US are its two biggest growth areas.

“ have managed to build a powerful solution in a fast growing industry that has traditionally focused solely on the traveller,” said Jordi Viñas, general partner at Nauta Capital. “We are excited to partner with such an extraordinary team and support them as they work to build a great company.”

“We believe that our technology can tremendously help vacation rental owners in marketing and managing their business more successfully, efficiently and independently,” added Klett. “This funding will enable us to continue innovating and build on our rapid growth.”

Lodgify launched its service in 2013 and last year raised its first funding round of €600,000.
