Douleutaras, a platform that brings together employers and freelancers in Greece and Eastern Europe, has raised €1 million, according to EMEA startups.
Douleutaras, which launched in 2013, is focused on emerging markets where freelancing is not as common, and works for all kind of professions from plumbers to engineers, marketers and lawyers. Freelancers post their professional profiles and can accept bids for work they are interested in.
The funding will be used to expand the service in Eastern Europe and possibly in Romania.
