Israeli augmented reality (AR) lens maker Lumus has closed a $6 million round from the Chinese Alibaba Group. This investment follows a $30 million Series C in December 2016 from HTC and Quanta Computer. It raised $15 million in a Series B round in June 2016. This brings the company's total amount raised to $57 million.
Lumus produces optical engines, a component of AR glasses and headsets, and supplies lenses for the AR market. The investment will open up the possibility for deals with companies linked to the Alibaba Group.
