Israeli software platform Wix acquires marketing platform flok

Israeli DIY website company Wix.com Ltd. has acquired flok, a marketing platform based in Tel-Aviv. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Israeli DIY website company Wix.com Ltd. has acquired flok, a marketing platform based in Tel-Aviv. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Flok’s marketing platform is designed to increase customer value, generate organic referrals and boost small and medium businesses’ online presence and reputation. With thousands of businesses signed up to its platform across the U.S., flok's platform facilitates interactive conversations, loyalty rewards, automated engagement workflows and mobile purchases. The company was founded in 2011, and has raised $19 million since that time.

"We founded flok with the goal of helping real world business effectively use digital and mobile to increase customer loyalty," said Ido Gaver, Co-founder and CEO of flok in a statement. "By becoming a part of the Wix team we can take our technology to new heights and do even more to empower business owners."

Wix is a cloud-based web development platform for small businesses. The platform was founded in 2006 and has millions of registered users in 190 countries. To date, Wix has raised over $58 million.
