Finland's F-Secure buys information security firm Inverse Path to boost hardware expertise

Helsinki-based, publicly-listed cyber security company F-Secure has acquired Inverse Path, a privately-held security services firm that works primarily with clients in the avionics, automotive, and industrial control sectors.

The purchase is meant to bolster the Finnish company's growing consultancy business, says Jens Thonke, EVP of Cyber Security Services at F-Secure.

From the press release:

"Inverse Path's expertise in hardware security and the safety of critical embedded systems strengthens F-Secure's position as a service provider for businesses in critical sectors with challenging IT infrastructure."

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Inverse Path was established in 2005 in Trieste, Italy.
