German RankingCoach, a marketing app for small businesses, raised €5 million from United Internet, a German internet services company. United Internet now holds a 29.93% stake in the startup. The company plans to use the investment to expand its services and grow internationally.
RankingCoach provides software for online marketing, SEO, and social media optimization. The platform is simple and easy to use; it is designed for small business owners with little previous experience in online marketing.
"User-friendliness and ease-of-use of cloud-based solutions are key factors in competition for small and medium-sized businesses," commented Frank Krause, United Internet's CFO, as reported by Startup Valley News. "This is exactly what RankingCoach has achieved with its online marketing solutions. With our investment, we would like to actively help develop this successful model."
"We have been able to exponentially increase our user base and reach over the last few years. The United Internet investment now gives us the opportunity to continue our growth strategy and establish our brand internationally," added Daniel Wette, Managing Director of RankingCoach. The goal is to provide local companies around the world with a marketing suite with which they can make their own business simple and efficient. "
RankingCoach has grown strongly since its inception and has been recognized as one of the fastest growing digital companies in Germany. The company offers its products directly and through resellers in 24 countries and 11 languages. The upcoming launch of the company's new suite in 2017 will bring the various products of the startup together into one central platform.
