Octopus Ventures led the round with participation from Simon Venture Group as well as previous investors Balderton, MMC, Meyer Bergman and Playfair Capital. Rebecca Hunt from Octopus Ventures has been added to Appear Here’s board. The company has raised $21.4 million in funding to date.

The funding comes in as Appear Here made its debut in New York City last month. The startup is active in cities throughout the UK, Paris, and now the US. The startup says the funding will be used to expand internationally to top global retail cities, grow the executive team, and build up the data science component of the platform.

“With our international expansion, we’re excited to continue to build deep relationships in the top retail cities around the world,” said founder and CEO, Ross Bailey in a statement. “Appear Here is the world leader at what we do and this is the perfect time for us to scale. We’ve got offices in London, Paris and New York, and now we’re looking forward to launching more tools and opening up new locations for our growing community to take their ideas to the next level.”
