Belgium’s Sentiance has raised €8 million in a Series C round. The investment was led by Volta Ventures and KPN Ventures with participation from previous investors including Samsung Catalyst Fund, Qbic, and Pamica.
The new funds will be invested in the company’s global growth and development of its service.
Sentiance’s platform employs machine learning and deep learning to analyse IoT sensor data, from phones, wearables, and IoT devices, and generate insights. “Sentiance helps companies make sense of this new and very powerful data,” said Toon Vanparys, CEO of Sentiance, whose customer base spans several sectors including health, insurance, and mobility.
“Sentiance’s powerful predictive analysis technology offers companies a unique tool to improve their customers’ experience and develop new personalized services, while respecting strict European privacy laws,” added Herman Kienhuis, managing director of KPN Ventures.
The Antwerp-based company previously raised over $7 million in its Series A and B rounds.
