Berlin-based professional driver service app Blacklane has acquired airport concierge startup Solve for an undisclosed amount.
Solve, originally founded in Las Vegas, was a platform for booking airport concierge services like curbside meet and greet, fast track access through security, and assistance with immigration or flight connections. It is active in 500 airports and will now be integrated with Blacklane’s existing professional driver services.
“Frequent travellers’ most valuable asset is time, and airport procedures waste a lot of it. Concierge services save travellers time before and after flights while making the most out of the time spent in airports,” said Jens Wohltorf, CEO of Blacklane. “This is a natural extension of Blacklane’s personal service and high-quality rides as it connects the dots between a comfortable flight and a comfortable ride.”
“Airport concierge services have lacked a trusted name, a smart booking process and global scalability. Blacklane has proven its ability to solve these issues,” Blaine Vess, CEO of Solve, which is a graduate of Y Combinator.
Blacklane has raised over $40 million from investors including Daimler.
