British on-demand staff platform Catapult has landed a £4.3 million funding round led by Novator Partners, with participation from Elkstone Capital. This capital injection brings the total amount raised by the startup to £10 million.
Launched in 2016, Catapult is a flexible staffing platform focussed on the hospitality and retail industries. The startup claims to use “advanced AI” to match workers' skills with employers' requirements. It also asks the candidates to upload profile videos, which, as the startup puts it, “allow general managers to get a feel for applicants’ personalities.”
Catapult employs some 50 people and operates in 30 cities across the UK. The startup lists companies and organisations like Clarks, Manchester City, Topshop, and Virgin Clubhouse among its clients.
