Stockholm-based digital health startup Mindler has raised an €8 million Series A round, co-led by Ventech and Shibsted Growth. Existing investors chipped in again, as well, included BackInBlack, Luminar Ventures and Kichi Invest. With the new funding, the Swedish app, which allows patients to consult with a psychologist within 24 hours, will be introduced in new parts of Europe. “Access to psychologists remains highly limited outside metropolitan areas. By bringing psychologists to patients, we are pleased to bridge this widening gap between supply and demand, providing more equal access to high quality mental health care, regardless of where you live,” said CEO and founder Rickard Lagerqvist. Founded in 2018, the startup operates in Sweden and Netherlands, with over 200 accredited psychologists who meet with patients via smartphone. Though based in just two countries, the team of psychologists already covers 20 languages.
