Wayra UK, part of telco giant Telefónica's open innovation endeavours, has teamed up with GE Healthcare to launch an EMEA-wide search for health tech businesses they can help take to the next level.

Dubbed the EMEA Edison Accelerator, which startups can apply for here until the 5th of April, the programme brings together start-ups, scale-ups and healthcare providers who want to leverage the GE Healthcare environment and mentoring to boost their value proposition.

Additionally, it was designed in partnership with a host of healthcare industry stakeholders to introduce GE Healthcare’s intelligence platform Edison to a growing developer community.

Wayra UK is looking to identify startups keen to tackle this trio of innovation challenges:

✅ Ease of use of imaging AI by healthcare providers

✅ Eliminating waiting rooms with AI and digital technologies

️✅️ Improving healthcare consumer engagement and experience

But what's in it for the startups? This is what GE Healthcare and Wayra UK are offering:

⚡️ Joint pilots between startups and healthcare provider partners

⚡️ Access to GE Healthcare’s global commercial force & customers in various markets

⚡️ Support in adapting, integrating & launching the solution on the Edison marketplace

⚡️ Access to data through healthcare providers

⚡️ Support in customer discovery & product validation

⚡️ Mentoring for trials & regulatory clearance preparation in target geography

⚡️ Access to Wayra’s startup scaling services

⚡️ Exposure to Wayra’s healthcare alumni & investor network
