Belfast-based Kainos acquires Helsinki’s Cloudator’s Workday division, increases European footprint

Belfast-based Kainos, a main implementation partner for Workday, has acquired Finnish competitor Cloudator’s Workday division. Through the acquisition, Kainos gains Cloudator’s market share, as well as adding 55 Workday specialists across the continent. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Founded in 2011 by Jarko Uzal, Cloudator has two arms, Cloudator Payroll, and Workday Services. The latter is the target of the acquisition, and sees offices in Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Estonia, and the Netherlands, with employees based across 11 countries.

“Workday’s growth trajectory in the EMEA region continues at pace. Kainos’ acquisition of Cloudator is great news for our customers and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Kainos as it expands into the Nordic region, to drive this continued success in EMEA,” comments Workday’s Carolyn Horne.
