Paris-based Skello has raised €40 million in a Series B funding round. The startup, which automates a number of repetitive HR tasks such as scheduling and payroll, will use the fresh capital to expand into new markets, with a particular focus on Spain and Germany. To date, the startup has raised €46.2 million.
With the pandemic rapidly accelerating digitisation of just about every aspect of modern-day living, so too did the HR department, and along with it, Skello. With time at a premium, Skello’s offer of automating and optimising a number of time-consuming tasks, the startup has seen its customer base explode over the past year and a half. The firm is trusted by over 7,000 clients in the hospitality, retail and health sectors, and is on track to see sales revenues reach €10 million in 2021.
To support this growth and further interest from existing and future customers, the team has expanded to around 150 individuals, and now aims to double this number by the end of next year.
The financing round was led by Partech and saw the participation of previous investors XAnge and Aglaé Ventures.
