UK-based platform matching software developers from under-tapped markets with companies, TalentGrid has raised a $400,000 funding. The pre-seed round saw the participation of several angel investors. Going forward, the startup aims to expand its software developer network further into Central and Eastern Europe in Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Poland.
Founded in 2019 by Ecem Korkmaz Gelal, Bahar Gunes Scigaj and Erdem Gelal, the tech talent recruitment platform prioritises the needs of software developers.
Talking about its expansion plans, Ecem Korkmaz Gelal, co-founder and CEO, TalentGrid said: “Countries such as Turkey, Bulgaria, and Romania are markets that haven't been fully explored as software developer pools. We aim to increase our expertise in these regions and provide companies with access to a new source of tech talent.”
With the introduction of remote work in 2021 and the increasing demand for technical talent, the startup has now expanded its developer network in Central and Eastern Europe, particularly Turkey. Its customer portfolio now includes global companies across the U.K., Germany, the U.S., France, the Netherlands, Denmark and Portugal.
