Lille, France-based marketing technology firm Positive Group, formerly known as Sarbacane and around for more than two decades already, has raised $110 million in funding to boost its growth and bankroll its third acquisition in 2 years.

Positive Group, which is the parent company of email and SMS marketing software platforms Mailify and rapidmail, got the capital injection from growth fund EMZ Partners and a number of financial services companies.

The company has also made a local move by acquiring fellow Lille-based Marketing 1BY1, a small company that offers a 'customer data platform'.

Mathieu Tarnus, the founder and CEO of Positive Group, remains the majority shareholder of the umbrella company, which has a turnover of approximately $30 million a year. The self-reported ambition for the company is to scale this up to an annual turnover of more than $100 million by 2026.

Founded in 2001, Positive Group now offers a wide range of tools for digital business communication; from email and SMS marketing to conversational marketing solutions with live chat and chatbot, sales engagement software, and more.

The company currently supports 25,000 customers, mainly SMEs and mid-market companies.

Back in September 2020, it scored a $45 million round led by IDI, which also reportedly co-invested in this new round.
