German HR SaaS company Zvoove Group has acquired Fortytools, a commercial cleaner SaaS startup based in Ahrensburg, Germany.
Currently used by some 500 cleaning companies, Fortytools' SaaS model is an app-led play that simplifies small business admin like invoicing and time recording, within the context of commercial cleaning.
Zvoove says the acquisition will enhance IT functions available within its enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform for the cleaning industry. Until now Zvoove's software lacked a sure-fire draw for smaller cleaning firms, with its ERP functionality more often appealing to larger companies.
An industry poll last year revealed digitisation is a priority for an estimated 83% of cleaning service providers, Zvoove said.
It's also the case that Zvoove has a broader operational remit as it serves temporary staff recruitment in all areas of field work.
Zvoove previously acquired the Dutch commercial cleaners' communication platform Leviy.
Oliver Muhr, CEO of Zvoove Group, said: "As market experts, we often hear from smaller cleaning service providers that they are interested in a sleek solution.
"We are very pleased that the acquisition of Fortytools will enable us to provide an easy-to-use and intuitive ERP-SaaS solution to these businesses. Fortytools is the perfect addition to our existing product portfolio."
Sebastian Gauck, Fortytools co-founder, added: "Our vision has always been to make the benefits of digitalization available to smaller businesses. We are delighted that we can concentrate on this even more in the future with the help of Zvoove's great expertise. I am particularly pleased that our clients will benefit directly from this thanks to new solutions for quality management and recruitment and that we will soon be able to offer them complete payroll services."
