German healthcare investor SHS Capital acquires majority stake in Dutch firm CAM Bioceramics

German healthcare investor SHS Capital has acquired a majority stake in Dutch firm CAM Bioceramics to support and accelerate future growth. The investment, from the SHS VI fund, also included ING Corporate Investments and other co-investors.

Leiden-based CAM Bioceramics develops calcium phosphate solutions for medtech and life-science applications including orthobiological HA coating powder for orthopaedic, dental and spinal implants, bone graft substitutes, excipients and (CaPs) particles for injectable dermal fillers.

No financial details of the deal were disclosed but its said that ‘the existing owners rolled-over a significant stake in the company' and that the the management team will stay intact.
