According to the Tech.eu database, European tech companies raised €3.1 billion over the course of October 2023 in some 367 deals.
This shows a decrease of more than 80 percent compared to the previous month (€16.5 billion raised in September 2023) and also a significant decrease of almost 50 percent year-over-year (€5.6 billion raised in September 2022).
This decline comes as somewhat of a surprise considering a record September; however, according to the figures, October is the weakest-performing month so far this year.
