Danish startup Whispr raises $750,000 for its AI-based voice guidance system for workers

Copenhagen-based voice guidance startup Whispr has landed a $750,000 round of funding led by Seedcamp, with participation from PreSeed Ventures, Futuristic VC, and Bose Ventures.

The idea of Whispr is to bring AI-based voice guidance to frontline workers in the industries of aviation, hospitality, facilities, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. In a way similar to talking to Siri or Google Assistant, the workers can talk to Whispr and get guidance about their work processes.

“From start up to rollout is very easy and takes a matter of days,” Hugh O'Flanagan, co-founder and CEO of Whispr told tech.eu. “The process already exists in businesses' SOPs (standard operating procedure), checklists, manuals, and would simply be converted to Whispr. We're not creating the process from scratch — we're extracting the key information and making it a living thing to be constantly improved over time.”

Whispr plans to use the fresh funding to double its headcount across its offices in Copenhagen and Dublin. The company is also working on an API, which will allow customers to integrate the assistant into their own applications.
