Berlin-based Dentolo, a dental insurance platform, has completed a seed funding round of €3 million. Investors in the round include Yabeo Capital, IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft, Atlantic Labs, and several angel investors.

The insurtech startup makes it possible to reduce the costs of medical and dental treatment for patients and insurers. The new capital will be used to further improve upon the company's technology.

"With Dentolo, we have created transparency for the costs of dental treatment in a short period of time, and developed a pricing algorithm that provides measurable added value for patients and leading insurers. The seed round with industry experts is confirmation that we are in the right place and allows us to improve dentistry for the benefit of the patient," said Julian Benning, co-founder and CEO of Dentolo, as reported by Startup Valley.

Dentolo has been growing rapidly since it entered the market in April 2016, and is already working with more than 300 dental partners throughout Germany. The company consists of a team of IT experts, dentists, and experienced leaders from the digital economy.
